Storm Stories Instructional Webinar

Storm Stories Instructional Webinar

On May 24, 2022, the project team from the NERRS Science Collaborative funded transfer project titled "Storm Stories: Communicating Hurricane Impacts Using Monitoring Data and Visualizations" provided an informational and instructional webinar.

Reserve staff from the Delaware, North Carolina, North Inlet-Winyah Bay, ACE Basin, GTM, and Jobos Bay NERRs, as well as staff from LimnoTech, collaborated to create post-hurricane communications templates that use System-wide Monitoring Program (SWMP) data to illustrate storm impacts and connect communities to science. The products created from this project are applicable to many extreme weather events experienced across the reserve system.

The webinar features project background information, how end-user feedback was incorporated, the tools and products that have been developed through this project, and how reserves can access resources.

Visit the Centralized Data Management Office website to obtain SWMP data.
