Any collaborative project requires time and resources to support relationship building and project idea development. The NERRS Science Collaborative offers non-competitive capacity building grants to reserves to support them in doing just that. In this webinar, reserve staff will share how they approached the capacity building grant opportunity and what they accomplished or what they hope to accomplish. Join the session to learn more about goals and mindset when developing a capacity building proposal, creative uses of funds, surprising benefits, and how capacity building activities inform next steps for future collaborative science projects. The session will also explore the kinds of activities that can help jumpstart collaborative science projects, using NERRS Science Collaborative capacity building grants as case examples.
